Nineteen | Twenty

It's a new year and the start of our twentieth as Berkeley Design.
     We begin 2013 with a trade ad going to a German publication for a longtime client. Also on the docket . . . a cover design for a novel and thriller . . . a publication gets delivered . . . a marketing brochure gets ready for printing . . . and a collector's interest in a limited edition Larry Torno Photo series, all make for a good start to another year of The Art of Creative Direction.  

Moving Day

Today is moving day. Berkeley Design is leaving 7700 Stanford Avenue behind for our new home at 7400 Carleton, St. Louis, MO 63130. Our phone number remains the same; 314-727-3686.

Say YES

Recently I designed a self-promotional mailer that fits into a square envelope. When folded, the text on the cover appears to say YES NO. Upon opening the top panel to the left, the real headline, YES TORNO, is revealed.
     If you'te looking for an Art Director who’s a creative thinker, an experienced graphic designer and a self-starter, then say “Yes” to Larry Torno.

Logo, Simplicity

When designing a logo for the competitive real estate market, it's best to meet with the client, understand their mission statement, and present clear ideas that achieve their communication goals.
     We started with a bold, easy-to-read typeface for the shortened name, added a stylized letter "S" for visual interest, and identified the company business with a professional look.
     Case solved.
